Dealing with atmospheres

Lately, the Holy Spirit has been ministering to me about atmospheres, especially when I pray. It started as I engaged in my morning routine before going to school one morning. Just as I was about to launch into worship, I felt the need to stop and I heard the quiet voice of the Holy Spirit: “Take charge of the atmosphere first!”

Speak! DECLARE!

Then I started to repent for any words of unbelief or words working against God’s plans for our lives that we had released in our home and I continued in prayer as usual. I realized that words released in our atmosphere either by us as family members, television programs, or even people speaking about us, can block our prayers and pollute the atmosphere in which we pray and dwell. I never dealt with the atmosphere like this during my morning routines although I did during the 6 pm(first-night watch).

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Ephesians 6:12

We live in an atmosphere where we can see, feel, hear and touch but the above scripture teaches us that we need to be aware of the spiritual atmosphere; because this is where the spiritual battles are taken.

Just to mention another example where the Holy Spirit warned me about the atmosphere: I was busy completing a kingdom assignment at our school(Making a displayboard for the values we teach during our Monday assemble)During the July holiday it seemed to be the perfect time without any disturbances to complete the job,although the youth assistants had to report for duty daily.While one of them brought me the ladder and helped to prepare , I went to fetch the paint and on my way I felt the need for worship and declaring into the atmosphere.I also loostened the atmosphere ,pulled down any strongholds and speak into the atmosphere peace,joy,etc.I finished the job and I felt really good about the end result.

The next day I continued and decided to tackle another wall in one of the halls leading to the intermediate classes. The assistants already left and I just continued, forgetting about my previous experience without being mindful! At last, after a great struggle with a simple task, I stepped back to review my work and wondered what is wrong this time.THEN the Holy Spirit spoke: “YOUR ATMOSPHERE!”All my energy and time were wiped off again!! I`ve learned my lesson.

Declare over your atmosphere and take charge of it

I speak out
And let the atmosphere know
In whose name I enter
And I command the doors ,
I command the gates to open 
And accomodate my feet,
the plans of the kingdom, 
To let earth align with heaven.
I issue the atmosphere, 
My surroundings that it must bow down at the name of my God,
And state my decree out in the open,
That knees bow and present themselves before the Lord , our Maker.
I release my decree
That my week become an open portal for angelic visitation
And a channel for my provision is being establish as I speak.

“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.“
