POUR:A PROPHETIC WORD- The Process for your Provision
Introduction
During May I got up as up with the usual morning routine , and while putting on the armor the word POUR dropped in my spirit and I wrote it on a piece of paper. Then a few other words and scripture followed and I just jot it down, without completely understanding.
I kept quiet for a while, not knowing what to do with this word. But then I remember about the appointed times of God for everything.
“But as the time of the promise was approaching which God had assured to Abraham, the people increased and multiplied in Egypt,”
Acts 7:17
“But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this season next year.“
Genesis 17:20
In this post the Holy Spirit explained to me how the provision of God works , more about the kneading bowl and preparing the dough. This post is slightly linked to the basket of Provision, but aims to focus on the prophetic outlook on the kneading bowl.
Ever tried making bread? I love making bread.Although I’m not an expert, I lean on some basic skills and knowlegde I learned from my grandma.Show me a home without bread…I cannot imagine such a home.

Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.”
Deuteronomy 28:5
1.What is a basket?
A basket is something you use to carry your provision and it is linked to the harvest.
2.What is a kneading bowl?
Now I have first hand knowlegde of a kneading bowl! I remember it from my childhood as my parents and family used a certain bowl to prepare the dough and to knead it .
This is the part most people don’t like, but they wouldn’t say no the delicious , fresh oven bread or the bread we call , Roosterkoek, in South Africa. And then there another type of bread , we called potbrood.
These freshly baked oven rolls never make it to the next basket😃They are stormed at when coming out of the oven. Our children love it!

A kneading bowl is a container in which you
- Compile the basic ingredients
- prepare your dough,
- let it sit to rise until it is large enough to meet your needs.
- seal your dough to receive the necessary warmth
- Let the process be activated and kept in waiting to be used.
- Check on the dough for when it is ready to use

Oh, and the waiting!
My grandma used to cover her kneading bowl and placed in a protected and sunny spot and then she waited, checked regularly if the dough started to rise. For a good result, the process and waiting is key!

Let’s get into the ingredients
The basic ingredients for making bread are flour, rising agent, oil , salt and lukewarm water.
Things that I have learnt about dough:
- The temperature of the water The water you use to mix the ingredients must be just the right temperature. When it’s too hot the rising agent will die and no longer produce gas for the dough to rise. When the water is cold , the dough will take longer to rise.
- The amount of time for allowing the dough to rise When dough is forgotten and left for too long, it gets sour.
- Transferring of heat
- Have you ever wondered why we should use lukewarm water instead when preparing dough? The process of kneading also transfers heat to the dough and also bear in mind the heat from the surrounding air.
Turning your dream into a reality
Conclusion
Providing is a basic skill that a person must acquire to feed or satisfy certain needs.Providers needs to be skilfull, have knowledge to enlarge their skill , ministry and product and all of this wisdom God can give us when we ask.
The basic skills of a provider
TAKE ACTION :
- Enquire Holy Spirit about the season you’re in
- Even though this word might not fit into your season, what is stopping us to pray for other’s provision.
IF YOU FEEL PROMPTED TO ACT ON THIS PROPHETIC WORD:
- Ask Holy Spirit for a prayer strategy.Dont just start praying.Ask and wait!
- When you receive the instruction of Holy Spirit, write in your journal or any notebook you keep.It is important to keep a notebook!
The importance of keeping a notebook or journal
- Write down scriptural declarations of God’s provision.
- Write a prayer asking God to fill your basket
- Now attend to your kneading bowl.Do you have a kneading bowl?( a business, a ministry, a blog, etc.)
- Pray for the preparation of your dough( seed efforts)
- Review your seed efforts
- Pray for enlargement so you can feed more people and share your provision. This is what bring multiplication. The boy with the 2 fishes and 5 loaves of bread sown into the ministry of Jesus and great multiplication occurred.
- Give thanks.Thank God for your provision.Step out in faith , start to see your provision and guard over it in thanksgiving.
- Wait prayerfully
- Cultivate
- Believe.
Become distributors of God’s provision and gifts.
Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people.
Luke 9:16
Conclusion
We are also providers. Just like God provides for us we have to provide whether it is to our own needs, our children, our business or ministry, etc.God gave us the ultimate provision through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and we’re blessed with all spiritual blessings in Him.
What do you have in our hands? What has God handed over to you and me?How do we steward what He had placed in our hands, because He certainly did not leave; leaving us emptyhanded!

Author’s note:
I love to include a note when these prophetic messages or special topics are given to me by God’s Spirit, my Mentor and Teacher.
Believe me, I had no idea this word will be stretching so far and yet I sense in my spirit there is so much more.
I will be writing about a few things mentioned in this post .
For some reason I experienced a great feeling of deliverance and felt how God’s Spirit poured into my spirit the words I should write.
Thanks for reading and I would love to hear from you💞.

Thank you💞sometimes I think I did not perhaps expressed it well as I’ve received it…it is quite a deep word and not actually about food but godly provision.
