The process is not always pleasant, but receiving the promise makes it rewarding! I am currently reviewing the 2021 journey in which so much happened and I’m trying to measure the amount of grace God bestowed me with.
In this post, I will be writing about how God introduced me to kingdom assignments and how they changed my everyday life.
At some point, my days became tied in routine and it tempered with my mental health until I found out that I have been assigned to something bigger than ordinary life. I’ve been writing about kingdom assignments as the Holy Spirit started to make me aware that I have to be prepared for them daily and that it should be a regular on my prayer list.
Here are a few posts on how God prepared me for my daily assignments.
This is where my days became excited as I get up and prepare during my morning for the weights of my day. I broke out of the confinements of routine and adapt to a kingdom mindset.
I had been writing about my orientation in kingdom assignments as I journey through 2021 and if you’re interested, you can read more about it here:👇
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
During the early morning prayer watch(3am) I woke up and knew that I’ve either can call to watch and pray or Holy Spirit wants to teach me new things. After I’ve prayed and put on the full armor of God, Assignment came to my mind and I started researching it. I’ve heard of Kingdom calling but never heard assignments and the Holy Spirit taught me that just as I am a teacher assigning assignments and projects to my students, God also does.
God planned and set aside our assignments and is waiting for us to enroll!
Some of my daily assignments from the Lord were to pray for specific people, the direction of my loved ones, being present because God also moves through us by only being present, being quiet and observing, listening intently, to stand watch biblical watches. One day I was walking through the long hall to my classroom and every time I entered the hall that day, I had the urge to pray and I realized that it was my day’s assignment.
Bible verses about kingdom assignments
“Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming”
Matthew 24:42
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.“
2 Timothy 2:15
The above scriptures are my favorite ones and I honestly believe I did my best to apply them in my life.
“Only, as the Lord has assigned to each one, as God has called each, in this manner let him walk. And so I direct in all the churches.”
1 Corinthians 7:17
“The king appointed for them a daily ration from the king’s choice food and from the wine which he drank, and appointed that they should be educated three years, at the end of which they were to enter the king’s personal service.”
Daniel 1:5
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men…”
Colossians 3:23
“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds, and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ”
Ephesians 4:11-12
“His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.”
Matthew 25:23
My 2021 Course Outline
Conclusion
Although there are loads to write about this topic, I have to hit the breaks now!
2021 was a year in which I went through spiritual orientation and alignment with the plans of God for my life. I realized that I have to enroll for the assignments of God and that consistency is key!
How did you do in your kingdom assignments?
How did you present yourself to God as an approved worker?
