A grand entrance to 2022

We’ve made it through another year and are cutting the ties of the old season,2021.We stretch out to the new year , getting rid of any Achan’s in our camp, fixing our eyes at the far end of God’s words to admire the beautiful plans that He has for us: Plans to prosper us and not to harm us , to give us a hope and a future.( Jeremiah 29:11)

Let’s settle the Achan Things!

The name Achan means :” He that troubleth” and can be find in Joshua 7.

Then Joshua, together with all Israel, took Achan son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the gold bar, his sons and daughters, his cattle, donkeys and sheep, his tent and all that he had, to the Valley of Achor.  Joshua said, “Why have you brought this trouble on us? The Lord will bring trouble on you today.”

Joshua 7:24-25

I would describe the Achan Things as anything that can cause trouble in your new year and walk with the Lord.In Achan’s case he disobeyed the orders of God, let his greed took over and thereby brought trouble for everyone else.

Identify troublemakers and stay away from them or it!

Important things that we we need to take care off

  • Take possesion of the gate of 2022 and give God access and control!Be a gatekeeper!
  • Our day has a gate, our week has a gate, our month has a gate and our year has a gate.

Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.

Psalm 24:7

I’ve placed this one on top because whoever possesses the gates controls everything.During the biblical times the gates were of great significance and were guarded and controlled.

How do I possess and guard the gate of my new year?

Through prayer!I used prayer journaling to assist me in this and what a great way to help you guarding your gates!

  • Declare your position in Christ and stand upon the authority that has been delegated to you( if your born again- John 3)
  • Renew any covenant that you’ve made with Him for e.g. your covenant of salvation.

  • Start something new to refresh , to challenge and inspire you.
  • Break new ground and wait for your wave to sweep you up!Pioneer!
  • Be on the lookout for new opportunities and take a firm hold of them.
  • Learn to talk less, observe and do more!
  • Ask God for wisdom.
  • Prepare yourself for the unknown year !
  • Keep watch ! Count the costs and build a watchtower!

A prophetic word:

Prepare for a double portion

Adress the barren landscapes and dark shades in your life and declare over them to make room for the ubundance and favor of the Lord Jesus Christ.Command them to expand to accomodate the glory of God’s grace.Get ready to receive a double portion!

2022

Instead of your shame you will have a double portion,
And instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion.
Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land,
Everlasting joy will be theirs.

Isaiah 61:7

Scriptural Resolutions for the new year

1.Allow God to build you up

Unless the Lord builds the house,
 the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.
In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat
for he grants sleep to  those he loves.

Psalm 127:1-2

2.Strive to be an approve worker

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15

3.Refresh constantly

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me.

Psalm 51:10-11

4.Let God establishes your steps

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

Proverbs 16:9

5.Embrace change

Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Isaiah 43:18-19

6.Practise persistence

Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints

Ephesians 6:18

7.Practise honesty

Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!

Psalm 139:23-24

8. Devote yourself

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

9.Trust in the divine timing of God

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

10.Press on

I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Phillipians 3:14

11.A positive mindset

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

Colossians 3:2

12.Write down your vision

“And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.” For still the vision awaits its appointed time”

Habakuk 2:2

New intentions , especially new year’s resolutions can be challenging to keep, but only if you try it on your own! Come into agreement with someone and do not walk alone!Agree with God’s word that says:

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Phillipians 4:13

Now I have challenged myself by writing this😀.I wish you all a year of beautiful landscapes of grace and may you conquer every obstacle through the grace of God.His grace is enough for us!

To those who supported me throughout the year :I declare a special blessing of peace , the everlasting love and goodness of God over your lives!

Love
