A collection of lyrical utterances

Refresh and recharge are actions we apply in our everyday lives, but what about our inner man? We are spirit, soul, and body and just as we take care of the body the same care should be applied to our inner man. Life can get so overwhelming and wear us down and these are the times we seek refreshment…when we realize we need to recharge.

Who would think that poetry could be such a powerful way to recharge and refresh through worship or even warfare? Then, king David was a shepherd boy, warrior, and poet! Even today we can use the Psalms of David as praise, as a hope, in warfare, and even in old age. There are whole books of the Bible that are poetic: Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Song of Solomon, and even some of the prophecies are written poetically.

To the choirmaster: according to Lilies. A Maskil of the Sons of Korah; a love song. My heart overflows with a pleasing theme; I address my verses to the king; my tongue is like the pen of a ready scribe.

Psalm 45:1

Writing and submitting poetic prayers to God is a powerful prophetic weapon to demolish the plans of our enemy and to gain new strength to press on.

Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.

Proverbs 16:24

I find poetic utterances when in the counsel of the Lord. It creates little moments of rest and renewal of strength during spiritual warfare.

Resting in the Lord

FILL MY CUP

I remember
how I’ve looked
At the stars,
laying on my back

How can I count Your ways,
Your endless mercies,
I adore
How Your cup was emptied,
Not broken.

For me, for everyone.
Just as I gazed at the stars,
I realized
that some are near,
Bright and shiny,

Others are far away, glowing
Waiting for their turn to enter the lanes
of Your mercies.
I clutch Your name,

Like the cup in my hands
As your name shatters
Any other cup
Trying to manipulate my destiny
They are shattered, spilled
And destroyed!

With the words of fire
While I raise Your name
As a banner upon my life.
I’ve got no other choice
But to yield my cup unto You.
WEEKLY EXPERIENCES
All on my knees

You've got me all excited
As I wake up early
Each morning, I can't wait
Exchanging my rob
For Your armor.
Waiting at the kettle's side

Oh, How I love Your voice,
Your previous touch
And hearing your steps
Drawing closer to me.
Holding my breath,
Keeping count of Your steps

As I've learned
To recognize Yours above all

I'm amazed at Your
Might in simplicity

It's been a while now
Since You invited me
Early morning
To tell me a secret

But I'm taking Heaven by storm: To sing a new song
To be clothed

To fill my cup with grace
My lantern with new oil
My days with courage, hope, joy, and overflowing measure,
A pressed portion of provision.

I'm pushing forcefully
Doors to open
Iron gates to receive my keys

...All on my knees.

New beginnings- prophetic stream

Birth

In the midst
Of true repentance
In my deepest pain, agony
The bareness of my spirit
Was broken, and streams
of living water,
Breakthrough and formed
The mountain of grace,
Ignited the passion
Of motherhood

How long I've been waiting,
Praying for you, my children!

Each morning
I arise at dawn,
To put you to my breast
To nurture you
And to bring you
Before Father.

I sat with you on my lap
And sometimes laughed
At your silly talks,
or rather sounds
I did not fully understand,
But they told me
Whether you're happy or grumpy,

Some nights
Sat at your bed
And watched how you breathed.

O, my children
I have been blessed with you!

It's been a year now
As I'm sitting, watching
Memories of the past,
And dedicate you again to
The One who gave you to me.

Being Alert

O daughter Babylon, you devastator!
Happy shall they be who pay you back
what you have done to us!
Happy shall they be who take your little ones
and dash them against the rock!

Psalm 137
Sounding the alarm

I look around and see
The manifestation of sounds
Coming from all-around
Where people dwell,
Sometimes hideaway
Not to be seen.

But I discern and recognize the mantle of turmoil, followed by destruction
I hear how they plot
And schedule their plans,

...And I hear You laugh.

For there is no plan
That won't be known
I hear the sound of Your Word
Flying like arrows
Driving by Your Wind
And strike the enemy's base
, silence their voices
, disarming
, dismantling
And paralyze all activities!

The utterance of our worship
Breaks through the resistance
And create a new sound
Bringing Your plans to earth

What is in your hand? Look closely. Identify the ordinary weapon and watch how God can use it mightily in your own life as well as in others!

Raise your faith
