Raise your faith from the dead!

Mustard Seed Series (3 )

Ash is a sign that the fire that was burning, is dead. In our region, we have farmers shepherding in the field and who are still living a nomadic lifestyle. After a long day, they return to start the fire, firstly for a quick cup of coffee. The secret is in the type of wood they use for the fire because as soon as they take the ashes out and blow over the remains, it starts glowing to start a fire. It was still able to react and comply with the breath from their mouths.

These shepherds are very particular about the wood they use to cook, keep warm, or even to keep away snakes and other animals, especially during the night.

Even the smallest faith can move a mountain

Feeling hopeless and in despair? Did you lose your trust in man and God? Look closely…there is still some fighting spirit left in you! It’s enough to start again! Nomadic shepherds know to make sure there are no burning coals in the ash they throw away. This can be catastrophic because even the smallest piece of remaining coal can cause a fire.

Revive your faith with the word of God.

What is faith?

Faith is the core of all prayer and access to the things of the Spirit. We access and unlock everything by faith. We stand in God’s promises and speak them into existence and patiently wait for the seeds to germinate and grow.

Patience and the germination process of faith seeds

Now that faith depends on works, Then so many became lifeless.

Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Neither can we go to God in prayer without faith?

The quality of our prayer life

1.A faith check

Now, with that being said, let’s move on to some action. Remember, it’s the action part that does it; for prayer without works is dead. It is always sensible to start with an honest self-evaluation.

By doing this we check our spiritual status as a disciple to evaluate the quality of our prayers. Yes, we can pray all we like but does our prayers get the thumbs up from God? Is it pleasing in His ear? With self-evaluation, you’ll find out soon enough! I did! I was shocked and had to admit that I was lukewarm!

2.Prayer and fasting

Now, as I’m writing this post I’m with you on this journey! Faith is locked in the seed that is placed inside of us. Anyway, the process is continual. It is a journey that the Holy Spirit takes us on to put our feet in the water. These words were a prompt during my early morning sessions while clothing myself with the full armor of God.

A day after that, I wrote a poem and these words popped up in that poetry! Soon after, I started with the faith series. This is one of the benefits of prayer journaling! God wants us to explore and come out on the waters because He is already there waiting to assist us.

The management of the seed

Fasting is a biblical command and with prayer journaling, I plan, schedule, and activate my fast even if it is for one hour or one day! This way I am being held accountable and have to honor God in completing my fast.

Fasting, with our heart in the right posture, honors God and God himself honors our sacrifice. Fasting should be based on biblical principles and should consist of:

These are evil times, so make every minute count.

Ephesians 5:16

The focus of this post is to rebuild, revive and strengthen our faith. God will prepare the heart and posture of the faithful servant for the arena of faith situations, beforehand and send an angel to accompany and walk with them.

Be a faithful servant

An hour of fasting

Then he returned to the disciples and found them asleep. He said to Peter, “Couldn’t you watch with me for even one hour?

Matthew 26:40
