Shaping your month with declarations

Raise an army over your day!

Usually, I start my new month with a monthly prayer or a dedication. With August, I was prompted by the Holy Spirit to shift to declarations instead of the usual way with how I start my months. I must admit, I was hesitant because I need to secure the gate of my new month.

So, one morning I started my morning session at 3 am and the Lord prepared quite a feast for me! I received my manna and made sure to collect the omer. As a working mom, I must align my feet with purpose in my early morning sessions with God. Heading into our days without securing the structure of our day in prayer can be disastrous and fatal!

Getting up early to spend time with God is a choice!

What are declarations?

You will also declare a thing,
And it will be established for you;
So light will shine on your ways.

Job 22:28

Declarations are simply to repeat what God says about you or your situation; merely to agree with God but the effect of these declarations can be life-changing! It shapes and upholds us and even the circumstances we might face. Early morning declarations strengthen the structure of our day and support our kingdom assignment.

To declare the word of God means to speak the written word into existence and the spoken word when released is taken into account by God who honors His word.

The word declare comes from the Hebrew word “archival” which means to “make known” or “to set forth an accounting”.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

Genesis 11:23

God is the initiator of the declaration in Genesis 11 where He spoke heaven and earth into existence.

Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we also believe, and so we also speak,

2 Corinthians 4:13

The impact of declarations

Declarations are the word of God being affirmed and put to the effectiveness over our lives and those of our loved ones. Those who come to God must come in the spirit and truth for God is spirit. Declarations, when spoken are spirit-filled words assisting us throughout every situation we might be facing assisting us throughout our week.

How I used Declarations throughout my month

Firstly, declarations reflect all over my prayers and change the mood of my faith and strengthen my inner man. I’ve learned that my own prayer words will not cut through iron bars nor will they pull down the strongholds that are put up against the knowledge of God.

Declarations as a dedication if a new week

Dedications are one of my most favorites journal entries. I usually write dedications at the beginning of something new for instance a new week, month, or any other new area.

Resistance declarations and Submission

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

James 4:7

If you’re interested in my experience after training in resistance you can read more here 👉Resistance Training Testimony

Resistance and submission cannot be separated from each other. We first have to submit ourselves to God before we can resist the devil. We simply cannot fight this fight in our strength and wisdom, it’s foolish. When we learn to submit ourselves before God, then we are on the path of commitment.

Some of my daily and favorite declarations

When I cloth myself with the full armor of God

I am seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above all of Satan’s spiritual forces (Ephesians 2:4-6).

When I experience weakness or resistance

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Phil. 4:13).

If God is for me, who can be against me? ( Rom. 8:31).

Nothing can separate me from Christ’s love ( Rom. 8:35-39).

All things are possible for me because I’m a believer ( Mark 9:23).

When I experience a lack

My God supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ (Phil. 4:19).

I am blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).

God has given me special gifts to use for His service ( 1 Pet. 4:10-11).

My faith progress

God will complete the good work He has begun in me ( Phil. 1:6).

August is a month of accessing new possibilities, God’s gifts, and strength through declaring His word and trust the spoken Word to prepare the way for us. We have so much to gain by just declaring the Word of God and rely on Him for breakthroughs and answers.

  1. We decree and declare that God will go before us and make any crooked places straight in this month. This month will be filled with divine blessings, new strenght and favor will surround us as a shield😃😇
