Journaling during the month of August
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens…”Ecclesiastes 3:1
Tired of the same old that’s been starring you in the face for so long? Or are you weighed down by a situation that does not seem to head into better days?
See, I am doing a new thing!Isaiah 43:19
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
I usually write about my month’s prayer journaling experiences at the end of the month, but this month is different. August is a month the children of God must position themselves for a shift that is about to take place and to be waiting for breakthrough and change after seeking God’s face for a specific situation or need. God completed a cycle of work and rest( 7 days), then the next cycle commenced.
God did not leave us without hope, instead, He left us His promises and the Holy Spirit. He placed the seed of change inside of us when we accept the promises and truths in His Word.
The nation's eyes are waiting,
Waiting for their heroes
To break through the silence
To appear with their warcry and sword,
So their heart is lifted, strengthened...
Agents of change
Is activated in this hour.
God did not just promise a new thing, but He also prepares a way for us to access it and for it to reach us! It’s all about faith, attitude, submission, and obedience. Even the agents of change that He chooses should submit to His plans to come into fulfilling. Earlier this year the Holy Spirit spoke to me about the change that is going to take place when I received the assignment to write about Preparedness on tips to act in season.
Can change happen by itself?
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.Romans 12:2
I believe not. We have to pray and access change through faith and allow it to happen in our lives. Sometimes we need to initiate change, but when people fall into molds of old habits, prayer is of utmost importance to trust God to bring about change.
Everything changed about my early mornings when I turned to the Holy Spirit for a change and the process of the renewal of my mind started. The Spirit of God was all along waiting patiently for me to come into the rhythm of heaven. When we’re out of the rhythm of something , we cannot adhere to its benefits and smoothness.
The need for change
“If things can be different! “Or ” I wish circumstances could change.” Many are wrestling with this kind of feeling and stay in this situation season after season.
Change is necessary to bring the plans and purposes of God in fulfilling into our lives. Firstly, for change to happen in ourselves and around us, we need to clear out old systems, mind patterns, and old habits. Decluttering and organize! We have to make room for change whether it is natural – or spiritual changes.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”2 Corinthians 5 :17

By now your watchtower and altar should be secured and established. We are waiting, gleaning, humbling ourselves diligently for the promises of God, who is no man that He shall say something and not fulfill it. (Numbers 23:19)
Prayer: By faith, I declare that I am strong and that I am standing in the strength of Christ. I further decree that through Christ all things are possible and that I operate in renewed strength, I shall run and not grow weary. I am accessing the promises in the bloodline of Abraham as I am an heir and descendant through the finished works of Christ on Calvary. Amen.
