From my manna basket
I am sitting at my usual morning place of meeting with God and listens to the raindrops splashing on my porch. With a cup of strong coffee, my prayer blanket that I made myself, and my journal.

Early morning time with God is so much different than just waking up with another purpose. Getting up to be with God surrounds me with indescribable peace and quietness.
The Early morning watch and especially the first watch of the day has become my mandate as I woke up every single morning( I think I had a treat of laying in bed a little longer once or twice), even through holidays. I rise to pick up the manna.
I’ve come to realize how critical this meeting is to build up resistance and to prepare a strong structure for the weights of my day. It had also become a place to practice my early morning warcry to tell the giants that might appear in my day, in whose name I stand!

We’re living in critical times before the second coming of Christ. There is no time for slack, laziness, sitting around in circles of the wicked and prayerlessness. We also need to evaluate our spiritual walk and align ourselves with the purpose of God for our lives.

Accountability
We have to keep each other accountable or find a way to keep ourselves accountable. I have prayer journaling and a journal partner and God’s Holy Spirit to keep me accountable.
What does it mean to keep watch
Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour.
Exodus 12:42
- To watch means to stay awake and without sleep.
- To pray
- To be sober-minded
- To look out for warnings
- To look out for a word from God to His people or yourself
- To have a constant connection with God
- Prayer to resist temptation
- Prayer to overcome the flesh
- Keep our hearts pure
- To be sensitive to our spiritual responsibility
The importance to be watchful
The first-morning watch (6 am -9 am)is not the only watch to begin and then relax into our day, but it is essential. It prepares our bodies with essential resistance to stand firm throughout our day in our kingdom assignment. It is also the time to fill our seed bag with mustards seeds to move mountains trying to hinder or frustrate us.

But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man
As we enter times of many turmoils and shaking, it points us to the second coming of Christ and this indeed calls for an urgent wake-up call to watch and pray! Even Jesus had a problem with the disciples staying awake and watch. A call for accountability!
Whether we believe in Christ or not, how will the end be for us?
“Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately. Blessed are those servants whom the master when he comes, will find watching”
Luke 12:35-36
Waist guided with Truth( Word of God|Preparedness)
Now, when the rain stopped, it’s time to be entertained by the different songs of birds from my garden. It’s still dark outside. Not many are awake. Only those preparing to go to work… and the few watching and praying.
