Manna Pockets

There is just something hidden in our mornings! Something of great value and yet, so many of us do not seek this. And then so many seek this fulfillment in many other places, but God and in His word.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Matthew 7:7

For quite some time I was seeking this, inconsistently, I must add. For one thing, I lacked: I DID NOT PREPARE A TABLE!

But as faithful as God is, He will prepare a table for us and reward us in seeking Him.

“You prepared a table for me…”

Psalm 23:5

I prepare my heart

I lift my heart
As I awake
To the first sound, the
whisper of your Spirit

My heart yields over
For You have won!
You have won
The battle for my heart!

I take my keys
And open the gate,
The gates of my heart,
Eagerly inviting You!

In my heart,
I have prepared for You
A table...
For the 3 of us!

Can we set up our tents
And stay awhile?

I have so much to give-
Honor and praise!

I have done much to ask -
When sitting at Your feet

Prayer pockets of radiance

As the sun prepares to arise, I arise to fill my pockets!

The Holy Spirit of God, our Helper, introduced me to fun prayer pockets for my morning prayer.

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I said to you.”

John 14:26

He loves creativity and fun during our morning sessions. He uses these ideas to refresh our inner man and strengthen us with the fresh manna that we collect to put inside.

“…and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp. When the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor.”

Exodus 16:13-14

Stop dumping! Recycle!

Once again!Recycling!I took an old page of a book that I kept in my resource file and created mini pockets.

Next, I stick a name tag to it and dressed it up a little! Gotta be specific!

These pockets can be for your prayers, scripture, requests, worship, etc.

But I made a special Scripture pocket and place my scriptures inside of the mini pockets.

Honoring God’s watches

One of the prayer points of the first watch of the day(6 am- 9 am) is a time to be strengthened, to be filled with God’s spirit, and to prepare our hearts for the day. It is also a time to choose to submit ourselves before Him, instead of bowing in front of the weights and pressure of the day.

Start to establish a strong foundation for your day.
