My June Prayer Journal Wrap up

My June journey started with embracing God’s spiritual months and learning more about it. It started when Holy Spirit prompted me to come in sync with His times.

I engaged with the Holy Spirit about how to come into a rhythm and I was moving in the direction of the biblical prayer watches and the biblical months.

Tammuz is the fourth month on the Jewish calendar and it is a month to guard our vision, to guard our hearts against idolatry. It is in this month that Moses went up Mount Sinai and received the two tablets of the law.

When the Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the covenant law, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.

Exodus 31:18

In the month of Tammuz:

  • There is a waiting period involved
  • A time to watch and pray
  • Waiting to hear instruction from God
  • To be patient in prayer
  • Guarding our hearts
  • Guarding over our vision
  • A time not to lose hope

When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods  who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.”

Exodus 32:1

Now, I wondered why the Holy Spirit instructed these 2 principles simultaneously…but although wondering and asking questions I submitted and did some research on these areas.

I only realized this afterward- God was training my eye to watch– meaning to pray in the biblical watches, how to be a watchman. I will call this: My Introductory course of a Watchman.

The Holy Spirit took me through all the biblical watches: day- and night watches, starting with the midnight watch(12 am to  3 am).

This brings me to another training, Resistance. What started as what I thought was a Bible study, was a preparation for a time to stand firm.

Read more about my Resistance Training Testimony here.

Lastly, I decided to make a collection of the inspiration, strength, courage, and faith scriptures from the Word of God, that empowered me in every situation throughout June.

Conclusion

Every month is a new door, a new opportunity to access the wonderful grace of God. Through our journey each month God is ready to speak to us, reveal to us the hidden things, provide for us, and to deliver us from evil.
