Kickstart your day
Possessing our days begins by owning our mornings, but how do we step out into our day?Do we perhaps leave a door open for slowness to access our day?
We all start our day with some productivity in mind and to get things done in a certain period of time.
And when on the battlefield we realise :
- I’m running around
- I’m sluggish
- Forgetful
- Saying all the wrong things
- I’m behind on my intended schedule
“Let procrastination sit on the bench.”
Since the moment we enter our day we start by setting ourselves goals, create a morning routine and other ways to stay in the game.
But nowadays there is an urge to be at the cutting edge, at the top of the game. Depending on your type of lifestyle, job, personality, and inner strength; we need to step out in power. Of course, this comes with channeling our time and energy in the right direction- to God and the power of His Word.
“Who are the players to play in your team today.”
I started to invest properly in my mornings by addressing the following aspects:
- Waking up earlier. I’m a little bit slow when I wake up.
- Managing my time more effective
- Listening to the counsel of the Holy Spirit.
- Journaling my thoughts and prompts of the Holy Spirit.
- Prayer Journaling
Mornings are very important because it is the first energy of our day and what is more important is to whom or what do we sacrifice it too.
Why do I wake up earlier ?
- I’m a working mom
- To make sure I have an advantage
- to avoid the rush
- Getting organize
- I’ve realized that putting on the full armor of God is crucial and should be done properly, listening to the instructions of the Holy Spirit as I’m getting dressed spiritually. Sometimes I spend half an hour putting on and praying on the armor of God.
Habits that give sluggishness a place on the team.
– No morning routine
We all have different morning routines depending on our lifestyle and responsibilities. A morning routine has structure and should be set on good and healthy habits, strong enough to boost our natural- and spiritual energy levels.
A morning routine consists of certain activities and can be identified in the following:
1.A getting-up routine
2.Warming up routine
3.Taking action
4.Wrapping up
Without a morning routine with good habits that are pleasing to God, we set ourselves up for failure and also without receiving divine strength for our kingdom mandate.
Not preparing for your upcoming day
It’s only obvious that this does not only affect the pace of your morning but also impacts the productivity of your whole day.

Just as we prepare for our day by setting out our clothing and organizing the things we will take along, we also have to prepare mentally and spiritually.
“Teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.”
Psalm 90: 12
Why prepare for your upcoming day?
- God has plans for us
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11
- He knows better

- He loves us

- God wants to team up with us

- I am His idea and creation

There are numerous other reasons to submit for the unfailing love of our God. The main idea of writing this article is this :

There is a spiritual side.

I too wakes up early in the morning every day at the same time. And then rest of the day spent like a groundhog day. (Not always)
Though Ive always have plans but sometimes they don’t work out as per plans. Now I feel like I have to change something in my daily life, I mean modifying my daily habits.
Its really an encouraging post to think about daily lifr mentally and spiritually.

Same here. So I realized that something is slowing me down and I then deal with it during the early morning in prayer…but then I still have to watch full throughout the day…not always easy..but possible with God’s grace and practice.
Thank you š»
