Prayer Journaling: Submission

The best way to resist our adversary’s strategies and tactics is to submit to God.

In  Resistance Part one, I spoke about how I started my week and just followed the lead of the Holy Spirit, unknowingly of what I was preparing for. I must admit, at first I wanted to fight back in prayer, but I felt strongly prompted to abide in the Word of God. Just as I believe and Experience that God exists, so I also experience and believe that our spiritual opposition is real.

Discering between trial and attack

I realize that it is crucial to discern between spiritual  trial- and attack. Why? When  we are able to identify trials from attacks , we will know which strategy to follow.

Definition for trial

The hearing of statements and showing of objects, in a law court to judge if a person is guilty of a crime or to decide a case or a legal matter(Cambridge dictionary)

A trial is a formal meeting in a law court, at which a judge and jury listen to the evidence and decide whether a person is guilty of a crime. (Collins Dictionary)

Definition for attack

take aggressive military action against (a place or enemy forces) with weapons or armed force.(Oxford)

The importance of submission

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand that he may lift you up in due time”

1 Peter  5:6
  • When you submit, obeying is much easier and comes naturally.
  • You stand back and watch how you rise above your adversary
  • Submitting to God place us under divine protection.
  • It gives God a legal right to act on our behalve
  • Submission to God activates the angelic hist to war on my our behalf. We are represented in our case.
  • To receive clear direction

Submission is a force that knows the appointed time for us to be released .It pushes us into our victory.

Now, I want to share the following testimony with you. The Holy Spirit invited me into resistance training and to submit to God right at the beginning of my week. I could discern the warning signs of the Holy Spirit and I grabbed my prayer journal and my Bible .I first completed my strategy in my journal prayerfully, listening to Holy Spirit and declared these scriptures!Once they are declared , it is activated in the spiritial realm  and I provided evidence for God to work on my behalve.

I must add, prayer journaling is diverse for the following reasons:

My prayer journal

  • To pray and trust God
  • To intercede for others
  • Playfulness
  • Relaxing in the Lord
  • Being creative
  • A platform for God to teach us
  • A place to heal
  • A place of comfort
  • An altar to worship
  • A platform for warfare
  • A place to prepare to step into Heavens courtroom
  • And so many other ways to strenghten your spiritual life and fellowship with God.

That Saturday evening , just before going to bed, I suddenly started having a slight headache and later on I felt dizzy.

This is why discerment is so important for each believer.I could discern that this was no ordinary headache, I did not take any medication.I did not tell my husband what I discerned. He knew all too well that somethings up!

But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant pra

Hebrews 5:14

And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,

Phillipians 1:9-10

As I laid in bed , I activated the power of the blood of Jesus, anointed myself , prayed in tongues to discern the guidance of Holy Spirit and prayed as He led me.I did not even get out of bed !I immediately felt relieve, but was still watchfull. It was like my spirit was already programmed to resist!

A fellow intercessor experienced the same attack , during the exact timeframe. She then anointed her legs and made some declarations , then she felt relief.During our prayer journal catch-up session we only found out then of each other’s experiences .

Conclusion

Our walk with God requires faith , to follow and obedience.Obedience and acting on the prompting of the Holy Spirit can ensure our safekeeping and prepare us to stand in the day of adversity.
