Dandelion poetic prayer

Defeating distraction

My gaze is fixed
Not on the seen
But the unseen power
Of Your Word.
Although I hear 
The voices of my enemies
Crying out:
Quit! In vain!
My spirit arise inside of me
"I refuse!" 
I cried out 
With my stone and slingshot


I call to You
As their sound keeps echoing
My prayer to You intensifies
I aim with securely 
As the same giant reappeared
"I refuse to be slain!"
The One inside of me arose
As my enemies reiterate 
I keep pressing on...
I rise above the voices 
The echoes of failure
And shut the lions mouths.

Enough!
I reached for the sign:
