Heartbeat

Although my eyes are closed
I hear the soft rhythm
Of your heartbeat
As I'm commencing my day
Girding my lions
With substantiating truth,

As I'm pacing through my day
Resting with short intervals
While I'm pulling out
Refreshments from my girdle
Chewing on your Word, stretching
Preparing to blow
And then...
Releasing it...suddenly it pops into realms of light,
but pierce through darkness
bringing forth mysteries...

I feel my inner rhythm
Adapting, transforming
To the sound of Your Word
It longs for the nourishment
Penetrating my being...
my heart first.

This poetic prayer was initiated by a visual Bible study from Psalm 1.

  1. As I read, I could clearly see the root to fruit connection as described in Psalms 1 and Jeremiah 17. The root drawing nourishment from the Living water and sending it forth fortifying the tree and producing rich fruit.

  3. A motivating discussion is definitely worth comment. I think that you ought to publish more on this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but typically people do not speak about these subjects. To the next! Many thanks!!
