Part 2 : Balance
When I was a student I majored in human movement science in my 3rd year. We ought to practice and mastered different skills including floor work and more challenging apparatus like the balancing beam. Most students feared the beam activities and chose other options during the assessment. I chose the beam! Not because I was an expert, but I wanted to challenge my abilities and insecurities.
In life, our lives will be overwhelmed or challenged by so many things, and the one throwing all these weights is Satan.
In Part One of the Hindrances in prayer journaling I tackled, probably the most prioritized topic: Commitment.
Demonic weights

1.The purpose of demonic weights is to plunge or drown us and take every area of our lives to a place of hopelessness, lack, and despair.
2.These demonic weights bring heaviness upon and weighs us down and try to keep us down. This heaviness affects our responses to the prompting of the Spirit of God negatively and slows us down in prayer.
3.Demonic weights bring tiredness and keep us from advancing in prayer, our kingdom assignment, and in life. It slows us down!
4.The biggest goal of demonic weights is to bring our lives in imbalance with God.
You are to use accurate scales, an accurate ephah, and an accurate bath.
Ezekiel 45:10
In the gymnasium the lecturer taught us practical skills to remember when training on the beam. She told us that our balance is crucial when performing a sequence on it and that we must have a focal point.
So, on the balancing beam of faith, Christ became my focal point to be a balanced disciple.
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you.”
Isaiah 26:3
What helped us to keep our balance
- Our arms stretched out beside us
- Eyes focussed ahead of us
Practising balance
We cannot change our problems or challenges and those around us if we do not have a secure place of balance. So, I concluded that prayer is the rudder to the one who can bring our lives into balance. For so long I’ve tried to figure it out myself! So unnecessary! Jesus Christ has got my back all along!
“Honest scales and balances belong to the Lord;all the weights in the bag are of his making.“
Proverbs 16:11

Summary
As the Holy Spirit laid this topic upon my heart, I searched the internet to find out more about it and I could not find out much. I know that the Holy Spirit, my helper, is trying to tell me that God wants His children to be in godly balance and that only He can restore that balance in us.
A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, But a just weight is His delight. (Proverbs 11:1)
I also realized that prayer has the power to brings me in balance with my Father and align me to His perfect will.
