How prayer journaling helped me to prepare
New year resolutions all set?Been there! Done that! At the start of 2020, there was such a great expectation amongst many of us and suddenly the bubble was burst! We could not even scatter around seeking help but were clustered into a corner, separated for quite some time.
Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
But then a crowd of hands raised to heaven! A choir of voices sought the God of heaven! A chamber of hearts trusted God despite the situation and become the “Nevertheless” and shifted their attitude and position.
Habakuk 3:18
I will still be joyful and glad, because the LORD God is my savior.
What so many of us did not recognize is that this year was the correct timing to SHIFT!

Why is shifting so important?
When we look into the ministry of Jesus Christ we find that He was constantly moving around strategically. one moment He would be talking to a specific person and the next moment He quickly shifted to another scene or even changed his course to another town.
1.Shifting in our activities confuse our enemies and make it difficult to set their attacks securely. That is why Psalm 91 says: their weapons shall not come near us.
2.Shifting makes it difficult for our enemy to track and trace us, which enables us to carry out our heavenly assignments and for God’s purpose to be fulfilled in our lives.
3.We can advance quickly onto the next level or task. We sustain in readiness.
Seeking God ‘s face and Discernment makes it possible to find a way to set our feet on a secure place.I sought Him ,discerned and received a new strategy to pray effectively: Prayer journaling.
I made a shift in my prayer strategy and it was the best thing I could have done this year!
How did a modest journal helped me to shift ?
For many people it is just another journal. Some see it as a nuisance! I found a powerful tool that taught me to strategize, prepare, make changes, position myself according to the word of God, trusting God through prayer, and not lean onto my understanding.
Summary
God, Himself loves to prepare the way and is calling us to align according to His word and into prayer to find the hidden things, to know His plans for our lives and our loved ones. I believe He has set aside a unique resource kit for everyone to soar into the realm of OVERCOMERS! We will be able to excel, be promoted, be favorable, be honored, and appreciated!
There is still time to prepare for 2021.
