The power in endurance

Romans 5

3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;

I once prayed and ask God for more strength and instead, some challenges started to pop up that I had to deal with. It’s so funny how we pray for something and expect God to make things happen. No one is born with endurance. It is something that you need to go out there and achieve. To sustain it, you have to build your life around it just as athletes do. I realized in my walk with Christ Jesus that even spiritual values or disciplines need to be achieved through actual events or challenges.

So I came to the realization that endurance can only be acquired by dealing with actual life courses that qualify us for the medal of endurance. It actually reminds me of athletics where you can take part in a few items and have to achieve a medal to gain the price of victory.

Why do some people always settle for last place or no position at all?

Definitions

1.the ability to endure an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way.

2.the ability to keep doing something difficultunpleasant, or painful for a long time( Cambrigde)

The power in endurance

  • It is a key aspect to your route to your destiny
  • It builds true godly identity and character
  • You become a role model for others who struggles with the same issues.
  • It increases your stamina
  • Your spiritual muscles grow stronger
  • It gives you a clear vision
  • It also gives you the ability to press on in prayer and to be positive.
  • Endurance builds up spiritual confidence, especially in prayer.
  • It makes prayer worthwhile.
  • It promotes positivity

Strengthen your endurance .

Phillipians 4

I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me.

Hebrews 10

36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

2 Timothy

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Conclusion

To endure is running the good race in faith. We know our lives cannot be just easy all the time, but we need to prepare and train ourselves for times like these. If I could summarize endurance, I would say it’s like Waiting on God.
