Dealing with adversary

In the first part, I wrote about the  Protagonist where God showed me that in every spiritual season He appointed supporters who help us and how Esther used a game plan to break through the walls of adversity.

Definition

In literature, an antagonist is a character, or a group of characters, which stands in opposition to the protagonist,  

We, therefore, can infer that the antagonist is the troublemaker in our new season.

Just like God rises up supporters, Satan rises up an adversary .

⁵ When Haman saw that Mordecai would not kneel down or pay him honor, he was enraged. ⁶ Yet having learned who Mordecai’s people were, he scorned the idea of killing only Mordecai. Instead Haman looked for a way to destroy all Mordecai’s people, the Jews,throughout the whole kingdom of Xerxes.

Mordechai, Esther’s great-nephew, refused to bow down to honor Haman and he did not like this at all. The Bible does not tell us why he did not want to, but that he told the other men that it is because of his religion. We can therefore infer that something about Haman did not go well with his religious beliefs.

Haman started hating Mordechai for not honoring him and found a strategy to destroy not just him, but the whole Jewish nation.

For a time such as this, He made provision for His own people: Setting the course for Esther in the palace, granting her favor to break through every wall of the adversary, and becoming queen at the right time.

Esther asked the Lord for a battle plan to fight the schemes of antagonists. We do need a prayer strategy to succeed in God’s purpose for our lives, just as the disciples asked Jesus to teach them about prayer. Praying our way out of difficult situations needs an effective strategy and leads us to multiple victories.

Conclusion

When we enter a new season of our lives we should be on the lookout for both these characters: The supporters that will help fulfill God’s purpose for us or the adversaries trying to stop His plans for our lives.
