Seasonal deliverance: The Protagonist

Help in appropriate times

Ever since God gave me the series Seasoned to write about I just cannot stop finding valuable clues adding beautiful flavor to my spiritual understanding and faith walk. It helps me to understand certain situations I’m going through and most importantly, to change my thoughts and actions.

Now, I’ve come to the understanding through the Spirit of God that in every spiritual season we undergo, there will be people appointed by God to assist us, to support us to overcome difficult situations, and to come in the position where God wants us to be. I’ve become intensely aware of the power of support.

Called and destined for specific times

Esther 4 : 14

And who knows if perhaps you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

Living a purpose full life is our compass to walk according to God’s Word and to reach certain destinations or pitstops. Esther was appointed for a certain purpose when her people were threatened by extinction.

Definition: Protagonist

a leader, proponent, or supporter of a causeCHAMPION

The supporters in Ester’s life

Mordechai

Esther was adopted at a very young age by her great-nephew as his own daughter when her parents died.

Esther 2:7

Mordecai had a cousin named Hadassah, whom he had brought up because she had neither father nor mother

Mordecai became Esters’s mentor teaching her the essential faith disciplines. We can infer that Esther knew the biblical disciplines of prayer, intercession, and fasting; because she was the one who called the fasting period of 3 days. I strongly believe that mentorship shapes young -or new believers to stand firm when tested during challenges.

Hegai

Eshter 2

8.Esther also was taken to the king’s palace and entrusted to Hegai, who had charge of the harem. She pleased him and won his favor.Esther also was taken to the king’s palace and entrusted to Hegai, who had charge of the harem.

This man played a key role in Esther becoming the next queen. When Hegai, who was the caretaker of the king’s harem saw the Jewish girl, she immediately won his favor and thus the best treatment above all the other young women. Esther was already used to a handpicked advisor and mentoring that she was immediately drawn into the advice of Hegai. She listened to him when he told her to accepts nothing from the palace when it was her time to be called by the king.

The seven attendants

Eshter 2

He assigned to her seven female attendants selected from the king’s palace and moved her and her attendants into the best place in the harem.

The seven maidservants were selected from the palace by Hegai to serve Esther. When Esther called the 3 days of fasting, she found consoling in these servants who supported her and fasted with her.

Hatach

Esther 4

Then called Esther for Hatach, one of the king’s chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend upon her, and gave him a commandment to Mordecai, to know what it was, and why it was.

In the situation she was faced with, she needed someone trustworthy to send messages to Mordecai because, in these messages, her Jewish identity will be revealed.

Conclusion

God will not say something and not fulfill His words. He is no man that He shall lie, therefore we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us in every season of our lives.

We have to humble ourselves during these times and recognize the supporters God had appointed on our behalf.
