Taking a stand

We are all fighting a war of our own. Most people , mostly teenagers sometimes even against themselves , falling into self pity, despair … and ended in suicidal behaviour.

The giant , Goliath was the winning weapon of the Philistines .Quite an impressive description .

1 Samuel 17

A champion named Goliath, who was from Gath, came out of the Philistine camp. His height was six cubits and a span. He had a bronze helmet on his head and wore a coat of scale armor of bronze weighing five thousand shekels ; on his legs he wore bronze greaves, and a bronze javelin was slung on his back. His spear shaft was like a weaver’s rod, and its iron point weighed six hundred shekels. His shield bearer went ahead of him.

He waged his mocking war of emotional bullying for 40 days morning and evening.

16 For forty days the Philistine came forward every morning and evening and took his stand.

So every morning as we awake , getting ready for the day these giants are awaiting us to continue, taking their stands.

A learner recently wrote this poem during our writing sessions on Teenage Challenges 2020.

Teenagers become so afraid to move forward and rather keep moving in reverse , because of fear and uncertainty.

This is a cry for help.

Anyone …come forward , but with the right weapons and authority.

  1. Gen Z truly needs our prayers and all sorts of helping hands. My daughters are in this generation. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen but God’s mercy flows to all generations!
